Sublime Pandemonium

July 6, 2011 § 2 Comments

We dug, dug until the sand grew moist.

We dug until our hearts found each other,

And hid our love in the bottomless pit

Formed to shield ourselves from

The cruel, blazing wind.

We held, held tight to give warmth

And comfort from the ocean’s rage.

Waves taunting and mocking,

Bliss found its birth in

The shouting winds and chanting sand.

The Weight Of My Steel Dreams

July 4, 2011 § Leave a comment

Freight trains crying –

Chasing my turquoise tears.

Patronizing, melancholy, crippling fears

Rust my steel dreams –

Fostering the weight of the world

Behind my ears, in my irony bones.

Witless taste for Sierra’s adventure –

But my leather backpack is torn

And my burdens are accommodating my fears.

The train will keep me running

And the sun will keep me hungry –

Swallowing sorrows still.

Howling Blues

July 4, 2011 § Leave a comment

Humid air stalks me through the streets –

My tears escaped from my wide, helpless eyes.

The chain around my silk flesh

Slipped into his coat pocket,

With my sanguine heart

At the end of the escaping chain.

Like a culprit fleeing his crime scene,

His silhouette grew into the mist.

Now my cigarette talks his dulcet words

And my wine kisses me goodnight.

Ephemeral promises and irreparable infatuation

Wastes away my prudence –

Just another broad howling to the blues.

“Do not leave” I begged, “for you have my sanguine heart –

and without it, I’m desolate.”

But his feet ran faster than my pleads.

Wild Fire Around The Corner

June 23, 2011 § Leave a comment

Singed hearts ash in tin cans,

Remains left of dubiety.

Coffee breath loiters in lonesome territory

Eating away at it – you

Are nothing but burnt tobacco:

Overrated cafe ambiance.

Mindless Dissipation

June 19, 2011 § 2 Comments

In the glowing night,

With riveting aspirations –

Murmurs of flesh and travels

Through cursing tunnels

And the hollow trees –

Followed the hair on our backs,

And crawled into ears.

We faked the blood in our nose,

Falling out of mindless dissipation –

For the tears landed on our toes

And soiled the perpetual ground

Laced with paw prints and emptiness –

With confessions of desperation,

We vanished into the abyss.

Where Am I?
